Frequently Asked Questions about Antenna Installation

How to install an antenna largely depends on the type of antenna you have – indoor antenna, loft antenna or an outdoor antenna.
If you’re installing an indoor antenna, this is as simple as plug and play. The most work required will be finding the right position to pick up a strong signal!
An outdoor antenna, however, will require more specific placement and directional placement, as well as drilling through your walls. You’ll likely want to employ a licensed electrician to assist with installing an outdoor or loft antenna.

Generally speaking, the higher the better. Indoor antennas do not receive as strong a signal as outdoor antennas, partially due to not being placed as high.
9 metres above ground level will give you the clearest over-the-air connection with a transmitter.
